Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 09 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a print, book an event or commission a piece from Bricks & Fur Art Studio, run by Ade Leake trading as Art by Leake, 61 St Thomas Way, Hawksyard, Rugeley WS15 1RA, sales@bricksandfurartstudio.com. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them. They don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. Prints
Ordering. When you order, you’ll get an email confirming we’ve received it. Our contract starts when we dispatch your print or confirm your order.
Prices. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Delivery is charged at checkout. If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we’ll contact you before dispatching.
Delivery. We aim to dispatch within 3 working days to UK addresses. Delivery times are estimates. If your print hasn’t arrived within 7 working days, please get in touch.
Colours. Every effort is made to show colours accurately, but screens vary, so the printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on screen.
Changing your mind. You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your print, for any reason. Tell us by email within that time, then return the print unused and in its original packaging within a further 14 days. We’ll refund the price and standard delivery cost within 14 days of getting it back. Unless it arrived faulty, the cost of returning it is yours.
Damaged or faulty prints. If your print arrives damaged or isn’t as described, contact us within 3 days with a photo and we’ll replace or refund it, including return postage.
2. Events and tickets (Cheers, Community and Kids 2 Creativity)
Booking. Your place is confirmed when you receive your booking email. Please check the date, time and venue.
Cancellations by you. Because event tickets are for a specific date, the 14-day cancelling right above doesn’t apply. If you can’t make it, tell us at least 7 days before and we’ll move you to another date or refund you. After that, tickets can’t be refunded, but you’re welcome to send a friend in your place. Just let us know their name.
Cancellations by us. If we have to cancel or move an event, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and offer a place on another date or a full refund. We can’t cover other costs, such as travel.
On the day. All materials are included unless the event description says otherwise. Drinks at venues are bought separately unless stated. Children at Kids 2 Creativity events must be accompanied or collected by an adult as described in the event details. Please tell us about any accessibility needs or allergies when you book.
Events sold by others. Some events listed on this site are run or ticketed by other organisations (for example, theatres or venues). Those bookings are with them, under their terms.
3. Commissions and murals
Every commission is one of a kind, made to your description, so it’s agreed individually.
Quote and deposit. We’ll agree the price, size, timescale and what’s included in writing (usually by email) before starting. A non-refundable deposit of 50% secures your slot and covers materials and initial work. The balance is due on completion, before the artwork is sent or collected.
Your photos. You confirm you have the right to share any photos you send us for a commission.
Changes. We’ll share progress where it’s practical, and small changes along the way are welcome. Major changes after work has started may cost extra, and we’ll agree that with you first.
Cancelling. Because commissions are made to your specification, the 14-day cancelling right doesn’t apply once work has begun. If you cancel, the deposit is kept and any work completed beyond the deposit’s value is charged.
Murals. For murals we’ll agree access, surface preparation and timings beforehand. You’re responsible for having permission to paint the wall (for example, from the landlord or building owner).
4. Copyright
Ade keeps the copyright in all artwork, including commissioned pieces and photographs of them. Buying a print or commission gives you the artwork itself, not the right to reproduce it (for example, making copies, printing it on products or using it in advertising) without written permission. We may share photos of finished commissions on this website and social media. If you’d rather we didn’t, just say so.
5. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that, but not for losses that weren’t foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
6. Problems and complaints
If something isn’t right, please email sales@bricksandfurartstudio.com and we’ll do our best to put it right quickly.
7. The legal bit
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
